Digital Monkey worked with experienced journalist and PR consultant, Leila Henderson, to develop an online system for the targeted distribution of media releases to journalists via email and online social media. NewsMaker.com.au is indexed by Google News and other major news aggregation services. Digital Monkey’s understanding of SEM (Search Engine Marketing) and SEO (Search Engine Optimisation) facilitated Google News indexing, as well as pushing news releases to the top of search ranking. Newsmaker has complex content management, ecommerce, SEO and SEM features that manage multi-level user access, news push and pull distribution via both HTTP (web protocol) and email, as well as payments linked in with feature access. The Newsmaker website was integrated with legacy databases and media lists, repurposing existing content for the new system and was designed to enable a multinational roll-out of the system to maximise return on investment.
